Can anybody suggest a good hanging bird feeder that won't clog and is easy to clean? I had to dump my old one because the openings kept clogging and the bird food turned into a nasty, black, bug infested mess. After disassembling and cleaning one time too many I finally tossed it.

I hang fat balls and bird seed in net bags which are so easy to fill and very easy to clean. Here in the UK the fat balls are supplied in the netting, with a hook to hang onto the bird table. Once they are empty they can be easily filled again.
Do you have the same in USA?
I also have a bird table that has the 4 corners removed so that it is easy to sweep off any uneaten mess off the table.

Found what I consider to be a good feeder and put it out Saturday, but still no signs of activity. It is in the same spot where the old one was so I hope they figure it out.

I am sure they will especially when the really bad weather starts to kick in. Our wild birds are still having a feeding frenzy on all the berries on the trees and seeds laying around. I have some fat balls haning up but they are not too bothered about them at the moment.
