I always feel so bad when I encounter kids that are afraid of dogs…even worse when their caretakers enable their fears. This clip, from Animal Planet actually brought tears.  I can't imagine going through life without knowing the healing love of my dogs. and worse, passing that fear along to their children

It's always important to me that my dogs are ambassadors to those who fear them. Although I have had a few rescues that were nervous around kids.  Stumpy, on the other hand gets a little too excited about the little ones. She uses her paws, in her excitement and since she won't let anyone touch her feet (I have to have her sedated to get her nails clipped) her talons should be registered as lethal weapons.
