When we decided to travel to the U.S in July 2010 – and we started to organise the DWB meetup in NYC. I asked Ami Kroon (Asta's mummy) to paint a picture for me as a surprise for Greg.
Greg photoshopped the below picture of Benson – and we called it "Saviour Benson". Greg has always looked at Benson as his "Saviour" as, after Charlie passed away, Greg was in a very bad place – and bringing Benson home bought him back to us.
I picked this picture for Ami to paint.

Here is the final result. Seeing it for myself for the very first time, bought a tear to my eye – seeing Greg's expression when we gave it to him was priceless. Ami captured Benson's spirit and "heart" perfectly – looking into his eyes, you can see how much of a gentle soul he is and how much love he has to give.

I have always felt the love that Ami painted this with – it oozes out of it.
Thank you Ami for the love and time that you put into our painting – we will treasure it always.
